"chateau des dames" over the cher river,the bottom floor of the arches was it's ballroom and gallery.Given to Diane de Poitiers by her lover Henri11 while he was married to Catherine de Medici.Later after his death,Catherine who became regent of France forced Diane to abandon it in exchange for Chateau Chaumont.
